Chemical Solutions is a leading provider of chemical contract manufacturing, customised repacking, handling and storage services to satisfy the industrial needs of businesses Australia-wide. We are currently seeking a full time Chemical Engineer to join our team.
The duties/responsibilities for the role include:
Thorough knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods.
Develop safety procedures to be employed by workers operating equipment or working in close proximity to on-going chemical processes.
Perform laboratory studies of steps in manufacture of new product and test proposed process in small scale operation (pilot projects).
Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
Develop processes and conduct shopfloor study for efficient methods in dusty ambience (PPE will be provided) and may require standing for long period of time.
Design measurement and control systems for chemical plants based on data collected in laboratory experiments and in pilot plant operations.
Monitor chemical processes and test the quality of products to make sure that they meet standards and specifications
Troubleshoot production problems or malfunctioning instruments by observing and/or performing the actual process to get a better understanding
Prepare technical reports, graphs, and charts, and give presentations that summarize their results
A Bachelor degree or higher in a field relevant to Chemical engineering
Minimum 2 years of full time work experience
