The role:

This role will initially commence as the Head of Growth & Commercial before the potential to move to a broader general management role. This role is focused on managing an established sales and solution consulting team as well as execution of the growth plan of the business, offering attractive diversity in work and executive responsibilities. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Founder/CEO, Board and executive team to deliver the companys strategic plan and ensure growth targets are met
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to bring the companys new services and software to market
  • Directly manage and upskill the sales and marketing function driving improvements in all areas
  • Manage the team to individual sales targets to ensure company revenue targets are met
  • Engage with the Founder/CEO to recruit, retain and develop the sales team to deliver on the companys growth plan
  • Ensure high quality reporting is maintained for customer revenue and other growth metrics
  • Monitor risks and opportunities facing the organisation and drive the board agenda to sufficiently capture this information along with key strategic items for discussion
  • Plan to transition oversight and responsibility of the finance function to this role over time

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience establishing, leading or managing a sales function
  • A proven track record in managing and developing a team across a variety of functions ideally in a software or B2B services business
  • The general management, financial and commercial skills required to manage a rapidly growing software or B2B services business
  • Commercial acumen and execution capability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Strong executive presence with highly developed relationship building and communication skills
  • A demonstrated track record in preserving and enhancing company culture as a result of high EQ and the ability to build trust quickly
  • The ability to articulate direction effectively and develop staff
