Customer Service Specialist

My client is a super funky textile printing studio in South Brisbane. They ensure the design dreams of both business and consumers come to life - working with some of the country's best-known brands, as well as smaller (but exceptionally talented) individual designers.

This dream team is chasing a Customer Service Specialist with a knack for managing multiple customer priorities simultaneously. As the right person, you feel most at ease when you see the queue in Zendesk decreasing; orders on brief & on track; and interacting with customers to make their design dreams manifest into a printed reality.

You'll love:

  • Working in a really fun industry where you get to use your strategic thinking for problem-solving, and bringing the digital into the physical

  • Helping to bring the design dreams of some awesome creatives to life, and working with direct consumers, businesses and suppliers alike to keep everything flowing as expected.

  • An easy-going leadership team. Translation: once you're trained they're pretty hands-off, which means you can exercise your natural state of being proactive and self-motivated.

  • A very cool workspace

What does an average week look like

  • Answering phones & taking email inquiries (roughly 20-50 per day), such as quoting on orders & answering technical questions, following up orders with production and supply chain, and liaising back & forth with vendors.

  • Working closely with the Production Assistant so you know which jobs are a priority & where each order is in the pipeline.

  • Making minor graphic design edits

  • Championing customer experience. Be it as the first point of contact on the phone, or in working with the wider team & vendors to ensure their order is delivered to schedule - you nail it.

  • Using tools such as Zendesk, email, the CMS, Word, Excel, and the basics of Design software to keep customers' dreams alive.

As the right fit you'll have:

  • Experience in print is a strong advantage. From fashion or textiles in particular Amazing! But you could also be other forms of print, or even Arts Admin:) This'll give you a good preview into the production process & reduce the learning curve.

  • A strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a brain that thrives on being highly organised.

  • Basic graphic design skills

  • A love of autonomy & owning your role. Delivering to outcomes in a self-managing environment is your (extended) middle name.
