Senior Project Manager

3-4 month contract, Supportive Team, Immediate Start.

The Role

The project manager position is a contract position based in regional NSW working a 5 day or 6 day roster and is required to hit the ground running.

The successful candidate will be supported by:

  • Local accommodation and meals
  • Specialist expertise advisors
  • Latest equipment (laptop, mobile phone, etc)
  • Supportive team at head office with training provided

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operational aspects of the project
  • Prepare project deliverables including; scope of work, specifications, execution plans, cost estimates and schedule
  • Engage with stakeholders to investigate requirements, obtain inputs, identify risks and understand context 
  • Work closely with internal and external resources to ensure projects are completed seamlessly
  • Actively monitor consultants and/or contractors deliverables; identifying any gaps/opportunities and provide recommended corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and direction for all personnel while on site

 

Experience\Skills required:

  • A proven track record in managing mine infrastructure projects
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills will be critical to success.
  • Ability to manage, lead, influence and conflict resolve with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Adhere to strict timeframes and budgets
  • High level communication, written, collaboration & delegation skills
  • 5+ years project management
  • Experience working within a high-level workplace WHS framework
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills will be critical to success.
  • Thorough understanding of safety, environment & quality including SWPs, JSEAs, PERAs & ITPs
