Your New Role:
Reporting directly to Control Systems Manager of our Solution delivery team, this role will be primarily responsible for designing, developing, installing and then managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes in accordance with customer requirements. The controls team are responsible for developing specifications to deliver fully tested and documented controls for customer projects that transform warehouse and distribution environments.
Who You Are & What We Need:
You are a talented Controls Engineer who likes to develop applications to manage highly automated warehouse processes for complex material handling systems. Ideally, you will have previous experience within a logistics engineering environment and be a strong communicator who is driven to produce high quality work.
What Youll Bring to the Table:
Academic recognition and/or practical experience in the field of electrical/controls engineering
Industrial experience with sound knowledge of PLC programming
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings
Practical experience of electrical / controls engineering & electrical installation
Excellent word processing and spread sheet skills
Able to work well under pressure, adapt to new and changing demands within a continuous improvement environment
Electricians license or disconnect/reconnect license is advantageous
Application knowledge of automated material handlings systems (conveyors, monorail, robots, cranes etc.) is advantageous
Knowledge of Beckhoff IPC / TwinCAT is advantageous
Open to graduates and entry level candidates
Ability to travel interstate and overseas up to 40% of the time
