We are seeking a dynamic, friendly person to be the Lead Receptionist at our award-winning destination, the Royal Motor Yacht Club. In our stunning Newport location on the Pittwater, we are striving to be known as the place to go on the Northern Beaches for boating, dining and events. Our members and guests receiving a professional first contact in person or over the phone is key in making this happen.
About the Role
The role is varied but the key responsibilities are to:
manage the reception area, welcome guests and direct enquiries
respond to queries on Club functions and activities
manage bookings and receive payments for events, merchandise and membership
invoice creation and daily reconciliation of Reception payments
manage the phone system, office supplies and maintenance of office equipment
administration support to membership, events, divisions and marketing teams
manage, develop and roster to budget the casual reception team members
You are someone who loves to deliver a great experience to others. You are well-presented, super organised and thrive on managing your own workspace. You have:
outstanding customer service skills
a professional phone manner and proven written communication skills
strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office
excellent organisational and time management skills
the ability to effectively prioritise workload, forward plan and deliver under pressure
excellent problem-solving skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
a desire to learn and progress
a passion for continuous improvement
a one-team mentality
Experience in a busy reception/concierge role, administration qualifications and a passion of the boating industry would be highly regarded.
This is a full-time, weekday position but occasional weekend or evening work may be required to assist in the delivery of new member evenings or on-water events.
We are in a beautiful location, but you will need a car to reach us. When you do, parking is free on-site and you can breathe in the sea air while enjoying your daily free lunch.
