Residential Site Manager

Claridge Construction is a well-established, custom residential building company passionate about creating beautifully crafted homes. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results through a highly skilled team and focusing on an end to end customer experience.

Due to continued growth and new projects being secured, we are currently seeking an experienced person for the position of Residential Site Manager to join our team.

As Site Manager, your primary focus is to manage a portfolio of home builds from site start through to the final inspection and maintenance stage. However, to be successful in this dynamic role you will need to possess expertise in time management whilst being tech savvy to utilize your residential building knowledge in conjunction with our construction software. 

We are looking for a person who possess effective communication skills to engage with key internal and external stakeholders in a way that fosters positive relationships and helps create high-performance outcomes for the company.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and manage trades, establish a reliable trade base
  • Build strong and ongoing working relationships with clients, trades and key stakeholders
  • Ensure correct building practices and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • Complete, communicate and update the Time Schedule for every project
  • Maintain the Site Diary
  • Ensure quality homes are built within set time frames and budgeted guidelines
  • Enforce and adhere to OH&S regulations including facilitating and communicating SWMSs for high risk work including safety audits, tool box talks, quality ITPs and site coordination meetings
  • Day to day management of trades on site, suppliers, completion of paperwork and other admin tasks
  • Weekly KPI reporting
  • Provide practical solutions to daily on site challenges and obstacles
  • Lead, manage and mentor team members to achieve their full potential and ensure behaviors are aligned with Claridge Constructions vision and values

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Values

  • To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications, or degree in Building & Construction highly valued, Registered Building Supervisor or Similar 
  • Minimum 5 years strong site management experience on residential construction projects 
  • Experience working in a structured and procedural environment
  • Proven experience in planning, programming and scheduling of site work
  • Ability to lead, plan for and manage onsite resources, including labour and equipment
  • Strong experience in maintaining and promoting health and safety in the workplace
  • Excellent stakeholder liaison and written communication skills
  • Respect Claridge Construction Vision and Values regarding Integrity, Responsibility, Balance and Legacy as detailed in the Employment Agreement 
  • Foster positive working relationships with all Claridge team members
  • Maintain open communication on any work issues 
  • Commit to continual professional development 
  • White card and building works supervision licensing
  • A current full drivers licence
