Part Time Accounts Assistant (6 Month Maternity Leave Contract) Mon to Thu

The Company's diverse product portfolio includes fibre optic cable, connectors, outside plant equipment, connectors, fusion splicers and test & measurement equipment.

A Part-time position has become available for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic and innovative Team in our Croydon South Head Office.

As an Accounts Assistant your key responsibilities and duties will include:

Accounts Payable Tasks

  • Code and key into ABM supplier invoices.
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Distribute supplier invoices for approval
  • Offset supplier payments in ABM
  • Check all Diners and other credit card statements and receipts, code and enter.
  • Code and enter into ABM all employee reimbursements
  • File all sales orders, invoices and supplier invoices.
  • Allocation of Telstra/Telecommunication charges to cost centres.
  • Set up approved suppliers and assist with confirming supplier information

Account Receivable

  • Assist with entering customer invoices
  • Update customer RMA register
  • Assist entering customer receipting
  • Enter all General Journals
  • File all customer credit applications
  • Assisting customers with queries.

Reception

  • Manage reception area and all call management (shared task)
  • Assist with office functions catering
  • Manage office supplies and other premise management requests

Other

  • Assist with month end close

In order to be considered for this role you must have:

  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Data & Communications Industry experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Good numeric and literacy skills
  • Good computer knowledge and exposure to computerised systems/programs
  • Good phone manners and excellent communication skills
  • Attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and un-supervised
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Positive and can do attitude
  • No VISA Restrictions
