The company has four office locations: Albany, Bunbury, Esperance and West Perth.
Southern Ports is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Esperance in a fixed term position for 12 months.
The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Planner’s accountabilities and functions will include maintenance planning of all Southern Ports Esperance assets and support services to the Electrical and Mechanical Teams to assist with maintenance operations and work package organisation and execution.
Produce scheduled work orders to deliver timely and effective maintenance for the Port’s assets.
Liaise with all parties to ensure planned work tasks are adequately resourced and completed within scheduled time frames.
Develop short and long term plans for maintenance activities including scheduled shutdowns of major plant.
Assist with project information including costs, parts and designs and drawings.
Review inspection, condition based assessment and repair reports; observe progress of scheduled maintenance to evaluate work efficiency and quality.
Prepare historical and statistical reports to monitor plant and equipment performance.
Manage classified plant operating in the Port in accordance with the requirements of the Mines Safety and Inspection legislation.
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts for maintenance expenditure.
Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance procedures in consultation to deliver industry standard maintenance performance outcomes.
Participate and facilitate continuous improvements of the Maintenance Management System.
Experience and Requirements
Extensive experience in the planning and undertaking of maintenance of industrial, mining or maritime assets and infrastructure.
Hold an Electrical of Fitter Trade Qualification.
Desirably have studied a Maintenance Management discipline.
Highly developed communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent.
Expertise in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Exceptional organisation, planning, reporting, problem solving, and coordination skills.
Ability to take instruction and work without direct supervision.
To be eligible for this fixed term role, applicants must reside in Esperance and provide proof of Australian citizenship or permanent residency. The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Maritime Security Access Card and undergo a pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol testing.
