Executive Officer to the Chief Operating Officer

Research, analysis and implementation of various projects related to governance, Maintenance repair and replacement of buildings, grounds and fixed assets, Ongoing employment with an ethical organisation.

The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference is seeking a good all-rounder to fill the position of Executive Officer to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).  Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for managing a varied range of projects which will assist in the governance of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference offices.  This is a full-time position based in Braddon, ACT.

 

As the Executive Officer to the COO, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the COO in supporting the Conferences day-to-day activities
  • Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of various projects
  • Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects
  • Researching and collating information to draft reports and discussion papers
  • Assisting with management of corporate entities
  • Coordinating maintenance repair and replacement of buildings, grounds and fixed assets
  • Managing Work Health and Safety at the Braddon Offices

You will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline
  • A minimum of two years experience dealing with finance-related matters
  • Ability to analyse problems and formulate solutions in relation to executive systems and procedures
  • Proven experience in a broad range of duties and administration systems
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance requirements and dealing with trades
  • The ability to work in a small team
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications
