MADEC has recently secured a contract that will see its existing footprint with the addition of five new regions to our existing six regions. This expansion will see MADEC provide labour solutions in the horticulture sector across Queensland, NSW, SA, Victoria and Tasmania. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a remote team in the delivery of program outcomes and performance indicators across the eastern states. This program aims to link workers with harvest jobs to meet seasonal peaks in employer demand. It also seeks to understand and help to address workforce issues relevant to the horticulture industry through the development of partnerships with peak bodies, service providers, and Government Departments. 

You will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring contract tender requirements and guidelines are achieved in all eleven regions;
  • Driving operational performance to grow revenue and increase profitability of the program;
  • Providing sound leadership of the team with a view to efficient, effective and professional service delivery;
  • Developing new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders, clients and key associations within the industry; and
  • Developing media and communication strategies that contribute to contractual and commercial goals.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we offer salary packaging to the value of $15,900 per annum, and tax free entertainment expenses. The role will have a fully maintained vehicle, a competitive salary and relocation expenses offered to the successful candidate. This position will be based in Mildura,  Adelaide, or the Riverland (SA) with regular travel to undertake the full scope of your responsibilities.
