Karratha Fluid Power is Pilbara's leading hydraulic and Industrial hose fitting specialist and to keep up with servicing our Pilbara community, we are seeking dedicated and experienced workers to join our team.

Karratha Fluid Power are the largest independent hydraulic work-shop in the Pilbara, servicing a wide range of industries from mining, offshore oil and gas to marine, and generalist mobile.

Hose Technicians

Rates: $100,000 to $150,0000

The successful Applicant will be provided with a fully stocked hose truck, Phone and Ipad. Single accommodation will be on offer and a housing subsidy provided after the qualifying period from the signed contract date for a couple or family.

You will directly Report to the General Manager, this diverse role will enable the Hydraulic Technician to work independently & with a team to undertake workshop & on-site fixed or mobile plant maintenance in the Pilbara.

Day to day, you will be involved in and not limited to hose manufacture, installation and testing and report directly to the General Manager


Skills & Experience:

  • Proven hose , installation & maintenance experience
  • Competent to record & process servicing documentation
  • Relevant mine site experience
  • Confidence to liaise with customers & suppliers in the field
  • A proficient & motivated work ethic to complete works to high standard
  • Truck Licence 
  • MSIC, Induction on Pilbara Iron & Citic Pacific would be an advantage
  • RIO Tickets preferred

Role: Hydraulic Technicians

Rates: $100,000 to $150,0000

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Hydraulic Technician with proven maintenance, installation & commissioning experience of hydraulic control systems to join a great team for the long term.  Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, this diverse role will enable the Hydraulic Technician to work independently & with a team to undertake workshop & on-site fixed or mobile plant maintenance in the Pilbara.

Day to day, you will be involved in:

  • Flushing, pressure testing and inspection of hydraulic units;
  • Tube manufacturing and installation;
  • Component rebuilds;
  • Hose manufacture, installation and testing;
  • Commissioning and testing of hydraulic systems; and
  • Hydraulic and mechanical fault finding, servicing and repair.
  • Servicing & commissioning of mobile or fixed plant mechanical & hydraulic components


Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Knowledge of hydraulic control systems
  • Proven hydraulic servicing, installation & maintenance experience
  • Competent to record & process servicing documentation
  • Relevant mine site experience
  • Confidence to liaise with customers & suppliers in the field
  • A proficient & motivated work ethic to complete works to high standard
  • Certificate IV in Engineering (Fluid Power) an advantage
  • MSIC, Induction on Pilbara Iron & Citic Pacific would be an advantage
