Companion Animal Inside Sales Representative

The Role

As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing business and market share through outbound customer contact. This will involve having engaging conversations and promoting our product portfolio to veterinary customers whilst continuing to provide outstanding customer service.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, you will sell Zoetis Companion Animal products and services to customers through multiple channels including voice, email and web. You will use data to ensure a relevant and targeted sales approach to achieve targets and customer satisfaction.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Solution selling and promotional communications to customers
  • Establish credibility with customers to make cross-sell / up-sell recommendations
  • Identification of business development opportunities at the customer level
  • Influencing key decision makers within veterinary clinics
  • Training customers through web-based technologies
  • Analysing data to assess customer needs
  • Maintain customer contact database (Salesforce.com) with accurate profiles, notes and opportunity information

 

The Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sales experience, preferably within the animal health industry
  • An understanding of the animal health market and strong business acumen


In addition:

  • Superior communications skills including writing, listening and questioning; strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish rapport quickly
  • Capability to absorb and articulate technical information
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented, whilst working collaboratively for team success
  • Strong organisational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook) 
  • The ability to quickly establish rapport, capture business development opportunities, and deliver transactional selling results
  • Customer focused professional demeanor and presentation style
  • Highly focused and results oriented, able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages
