Versatile Project Manager - Electrical - Industrial/HV Projects

The Company:

My client is a leading electrical contractor, renowned for high-quality standards and efficient delivery of their projects. With their business starting to show a lot of opportunities in the industrial and resources space they are now looking to expand their Perth operations with a driven and versatile Electrical Project Manager with solid HV experience delivering within the WA market. 

The Position:

In this role, you will be a key part of the local leadership team; working with management to grow the division providing input on projects, estimates, business strategy, operations, team development, commercials, business development & recruitment. You will also work across a range of clients in the industrial space covering warehousing, manufacturing, process facilities, power generation, non-process infrastructure etc.
Key Responsibilities:   

  • Day to day operations of the Industrial Division and delivery of Electrical Projects in this space - construction & maintenance
  • P&L, Budgeting, Forecasting, Contracts & Account Management
  • Effectively plan and manage multiple jobs at any one time taking into consideration hours, labour and material requirements
  • Manage and coordinate the teams/electrical crews liaising with the supervisors and leading hands
  • Identify and develop potential opportunities for business growth by creating and following up on new client opportunities
  • Assisting the estimation team with tender opportunities and ensuring consistency between the bid and construction phases
  • Maintaining all relevant safety processes, quality and compliance documentation to a high standard as per company requirements

Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrable and successful electrical project management in a similar business environment - Industrial/HV experience essential
  • Sound understanding of the electrical contracting market and ideally possess a WA Electrical License or similar
  • Good IT literacy and ability to use financial and planning software
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload - exceptional time management
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and colleagues
