  • Must be available to work 3-5 days per week (Monday to Friday) during university semesters 1 and 2 and full time outside of those semesters and during the university semester breaks.

Public Safety

Our Public Safety Team are driving by community safety. They support the coordination, administration, monitoring and assessment of council’s public safety contracts including CCTV operational systems, services, network management and crime prevention initiatives. Your daily interactions in this space will provide you with insights into how local government partners with the wider community in contributing to a safe region. Studying Criminology Or Justice This could be the perfect role for you!

Drainage Waterways and Coastal Planning

The primary focus of this department is to plan, manage and design the region’s coastal, stormwater and floodplain management infrastructure, including built and natural form assets, consistent with Council’s corporate strategic vision, policies and strategies. Your studies will ideally align with a career in this progressive and innovative industry!

Asset Maintenance

The Asset Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and renewal of Council’s assets throughout the region.  The areas of responsibility are primarily Roads and Drains, Parks, Cleansing, Construction, Fleet and Building and Facilities infrastructure.  The Asset Maintenance department is one of the largest departments within Council, maintaining essential community infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region. Parks and Recreation Planning

The position will be located within Council’s Parks and Recreation Planning Department, part of the wider Infrastructure Planning Directorate. The team is responsible for the planning and design of Council’s open space estate. The landscape design team is responsible for planning and design of, natural areas landscapes and parks from local to regional scale. The team also provides detailed design support to the Urban Design, Sports and Recreation and technical services teams within the department. Design your career pathway by joining our team!

Work Location

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of Council's work locations with notice. Council currently has administration offices located at Caboolture, Strathpine and Redcliffe as well as depots, libraries and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
