About Your Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced full-time Operations Manager to join our team. This role is  based in Subiaco but may be required to travel both nationally and Internationally

As the Operations Manager you are responsible for driving performance through Purchasing & Logistics, Project Management, Warehousing and International Shipping to ensure our customer receives the best possible service from District.

As a District Operations Manager, you will:

  • Be an integral part of the implementation, configuration and development of a national ERP system
  • Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in line with company objectives
  • Drive efficiencies within Purchasing, Logistics, Warehousing and Project Management
  • Support better management reporting, information flow, business process and organisational planning
  • Drive and execute initiatives developed as part of the management team
  • Manage large commercial projects from sales acceptance to completion of logistics
  • Ensure service deliverables to customers are mapped and achieved on time and to budget
  • Improve the quality of service deliverables to customers
  • Manage project personnel to achieve project deliverables
  • Control transition of large commercial projects between the Sales Team and Purchasing Team
  • Manage the interface between sales, purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure projects deliverables are achieved
  • Provide confidence to the Sales Team that project deliverables are effectively managed
  • Provide progress reports to Leadership Team
  • Inventory Management; implement and manage cyclic stock-take program
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with customer requirements

 

You will have:

  • Proven track record, and a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a similar operations management position
  • Strong IT skills and ERP implementation, would help you make the shortlist
  • A demonstrated ability to work to deadlines
  • Outstanding and proven communication and organisational skills
  • Effective leadership and mentoring skills, and the ability to engage and lead teams
  • Always follow through and get results
  • Exceptional attention to detail while also able to see and deliver on the bigger picture
  • Experience in training people and developing training systems
