About Us:

KTL Australia is an Australian owned freight forwarding company based in Tullamarine that provides international air, sea, rail, and road transport solutions, as well as customs clearance services to a wide variety of customers across all industries. KTL is now seeking someone with great experience in the Freight Forwarding industry, to join us on a Full-Time basis in our Operations team.

Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating import & export shipments from start to finish as well as assisting with general day to day operations. This includes liaising with a range of service providers such as customs agents, shipping lines, transport companies & overseas offices.

 

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the knowledge & ability to pick up the role quickly, whilst being able to adapt to working in a small collaborative team.

Key deliverables of the role are;

  • Organising shipping and delivery
  • Finding, negotiating and securing internal shipping rates
  • Maintaining and updating the shipping rates database on an as-required basis
  • Handling incoming emails and phone calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure record-keeping practices are accurate, effective and controllable

 

About You:

We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable team player who has proven relevant experience within the Freight Forward Industry. The successful candidate may be seeking a change and possess a desire to grow with their business and make the role their own.

You will also possess;

  • 3 + years experience in the Freight Forwarding industry;
  • Experience using EDI Enterprise/Cargowise
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel);
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders;
  • Strong time management and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Dedication, reliability, a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
