About the role
We are seeking an experienced commercial aluminium Factory Manager to join our team. You will need to have been or still be in a management position of a similar nature. You will need excellent communication skills, organised in procedures and principles with a passion for the industry. As Factory Manager, you will be responsible for all production operations both in the aluminium and glazing divisions overseeing that works are compliant and built to the highest QA standards while maintaining project deadlines and ensuring work place safety is maintained. You will be required to manage an internal reporting and bar code recording system as the factory assigned works are managed on a paperless system. You will be responsible for the fabrication and manufacturing outcomes of bespoke aluminium joinery for multiple projects at any one time with each project having a Project Manager assigned that you will need to liaise with. You will oversee the glazing division with the glazing outcomes being managed by a sectional supervisor. You will need to have knowledge of current OH&S regulations and standards.
The Factory Manager needs to be hands on as required, while maintaining a professional management approach reporting to the Operations Manager and Managing Director.

Skills and Experience
Proven employment history in a similar management role
Must have minimum 10 years experience in the fabrication and installation of commercial aluminium windows with vast knowledge and experience in window assemblies and glazing methods
Proven ability to lead, coach, influence and motivate a multi-cultural work force of up to 25 personnel
OH&S knowledge of current regulations and standards with minimum 5 years experience
Maintain a strong safety focus
Ability to understand CNC machining processes
Ability to read and interpret production / set out / planning paperwork
Understand glazing code (AS1288) and have glass installation knowledge
Broad knowledge of Capral Alspec Reynaers commercial window/door systems
Extensive knowledge of fabrication assemblies and machining processes
Extensive knowledge of door hardware systems and compatibilities
Demonstrated commitment to quality, ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and be self-motivated
Knowledge and use of problem-solving methodologies
Lead and co-ordinate continuous improvement activities
Excellent communication skills and computer skills including MS Suite
Reinforcing the companys practices and principles
Ability to engage and motivate team members with a hands-on leadership approach
Meet and exceed agreed output targets on a monthly and annual basis
Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders
Forklift Ticket desirable
Australian Drivers Licence C Class
MUST be residing in Western Australia
