The role

You will be part of a team of high-performing professionals and report through to the Commercial Manager.  You will also be required to develop strong working relationships across the business, including at the senior management level.  A hands-on role, you will be a vital part of the logistics function.  There is significant scope for personal and professional development for the right candidate.  Diverse in nature, the role will cover a range of duties.  The position is available on a permanent full-time basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the movement of stocks to ensure all customer and logistics requirements are continually met
  • Weekly reporting to senior management identifying trends and opportunities relating to stock and freight
  • Providing a high level of customer service to both product customers and freight providers 
  • Engaging with service providers in freight booking and rate negotiations to provide the best outcome for the business 
  • Contract management including entering into the system, reconciliations, corrections, maintenance etc.
  • Liaise with delivery drivers and contractors to ensure requirements for site access are complied with
  • Schedule internal and external deliveries 
  • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes to determine their effect on supply chain activities
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes  
  • Delivery reports and dispatch reports
  • Order entry and maintenance 
  • Ad-hoc project work as and when required

  • Certificate IV in Logistics (desirable) 
  • Experience in a similar role in a relevant industry e.g. logistics/supply chain etc.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills 
  • Microsoft Excel and systems skills e.g. GrainSmart
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • A terrific attitude and work ethic
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
