Home-based Subcontractor Role (Canberra and ACT surrounds) - SIRRAS Consultants Pty Ltd
Opportunities are currently available to join one of Australias largest External Security Vetting Service providers. We are seeking professional, experienced, and focused individuals in a full-time or part-time capacity to join our professional and friendly team as a home-based subcontracting Vetting Officer within Canberra ACT.
The successful applicants will be experienced Vetting Officers with demonstrated interviewing and analytical skills, experienced in meeting strict KPI's, have excellent attention to detail, great communication and organisational skills and a desire to protect Australias national interest.
Senior Vetting Officer responsibilities will include:
Collect, assess and analyse information in support of making decisions against a risk management framework in relation to a person's suitability to access sensitive and classified information
Undertake face to face and telephone interviews with clearance subjects, professional referees and character referees
Prioritising needs of our clients and workloads to meet KPI's
Demonstrate a high level of Quality Assurance of vetting clearance assessments
Undertake analyses over whole of process assessing risk to the National Interest while adhering to IPPs, APPs and natural justice
Ensuring compliance with current policy, procedures, DISP membership and ICT requirements
Effectively manage individual workload within time constraints whilst in a home environment.
Must be an Australian citizen
Certificate IV in Government, Personnel Security (Vetting)
Minimum of a Negative Vetting Level 1 Security Clearance (dependant on position) includes criminal history and ASIO check
Experienced Vetting officer
Ability to achieve DISP membership, including physical and ICT requirements with support of the SIRRAS Head office.
