Bookkeeper position

CWBC is a vibrant holistic centre that brings a range of psychological and behavioural treatment options to children. We are a private paying non bulk billing clinic who offers services to a broad range of clients.

We are looking for a dynamic contract bookkeeper who can think outside the box and is willing to learn the complexity that our business scope creates.

Full training in the processes already running will be provided by our finance director.

** Medical Experience will be highly regarded

We are flexible with hours but will need this person to be on site for approx 3 - 4 mornings per week.

  • Payroll for permanent and contract staff.
  • Ability to analyse reports from Medical software to calculate contractor payroll as per set KPIs.
  • Accounts payable and receivable.
  • Journal entries.
  • Balance Sheet and P&L reconciliations.
  • STP lodgement and superannuation for each pay period
  • Administration tasks relating to financial operations, including invoices and asset maintenance.
  • End of month reporting
  • BAS and GST preparation and processing
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and Xero
  • Membership of the CPA or Australian Bookkeeper Association (ABA) 

To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that you have the following:

  • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience in Australia.
  • High level of proficiency using accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Able to do manual calculations when required.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment, with a small team and prioritise daily tasks.
  • Very high level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Experience in the Medical sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
