Permanent Part-time Administration Clerk/Cashier

A great opportunity exists for a dynamic person to join Samson's Fruit and Vegetables as an Administration Clerk/Cashier at our Brisbane Market location.  The ideal candidate will need to be dedicated, proactive and an energetic team player who thrives on early morning starts with early finishes for an immediate start within our Finance and Administration Department.  The right candidate will be required to commence at 5.30am.

This position will enable you to utilise your awesome organisational skills and excellent customer service skills. 

Reporting to the Business Administration Manager you will be:

  • delivering an exceptional customer experience to all vendors and buyers from the cashier's office
  • cash collection and entering payment receipts
  • processing sale transactions 
  • responding to enquiries via phone and e-mail
  • working closely with the sales team
  • reception
  • general Administration Duties/data entry
  • finalising all transactions for the day and ensuring all reports balance, any errors are given to the supervisor for investigation

Who are we looking for

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous cash handling and EFTPOS experience is essential
  • Excellent customer service - we talk to so many different types of customers and we need a great rapport builder!
  • Able to work effectively as part of a close-knit team as well as independently   
  • Competent verbal & written communication skills
  • Flexible, reliable, well-presented and with exceptional attention to detail
  • Efficient; organised & able to prioritise competing tasks
  • At least 2 years experience in an administration role would be an advantage
  • Previous Market experience ideal
  • Competent MS Outlook, Word and Excel skills
  • Confident in the use of ERP software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Energetic, Friendly & flexible nature
