Business Accountant

SS&A Albury is a premium entertainment venue in the heart of the Albury CBD where you will experience excellent hospitality and friendly customer service.

The venue features two restaurants. Social Dining & Bar provides an extensive menu featuring pub and club favourites mixed with modern dishes, while Zhuzi offers authentic Asian flavours. The SS&As four bar areas are distinguishable by their unique elements including a specialised sports bar The Locker Room and The Studio Lounge, which has built a reputation as host to the best live and free music/entertainment in Albury Wodonga. Two newly renovated function spaces allow for multiple use including functions, catered events and entertainment. All this plus two alfresco areas, kids room, conference room and plenty of on on-site car parking makes the SS&A the place for Albury/Wodonga locals and visitors to eat, drink and play. 

We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated, dynamic and engaging individual to join our team as a full-time Business Accountant. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be adaptable, resilient & innovative with a strong knowledge of taxation.

In this position you will:

  • Complete Taxation Activities including BAS, Payroll Tax, Poker Machine Duty, Income Tax & FBT reconciliation
  • Analyse and report on data trends
  • Manage Projects
  • Budgeting & Forecasting 
  • Internal Auditing
  • System & process improvement
  • Support in generating finance & management reports 
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable transaction processing 
  • Daily Sales & Tender Reconciliation 
  • Bank Reconciliation 
  • Period End Reconciliation Activities 
  • Provide support for Stocktake activities

To be successful you will have:

  • Bachelor qualification in Accounting with CPA or CA membership
  • High-level Excel skills
  • Advanced general computing skills
  • High-level communication skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical abilities
  • Self-motivation and be highly engaged
  • A willingness to undertake Professional Development to meet future SSA business needs
  • Experience working with an ERP Microsoft Great Plains desirable
