Were seeking an experienced and talented Communications Manager to join our communications team on a permanent and full time basis. This role can be based in either North Sydney, Brisbane or Armidale
The Communications Manager will manage a small dedicated team in the day-to-day operations to ensure the delivery of MLAs content to the highest standard and to deadline. You will also work collaboratively across all MLA business units to ensure all MLA communications are delivered in a coordinated, consistent and prioritised manner.
Other key accountabilities include:
Drive the implementation of MLAs communications strategy, targeted to meet the needs of MLAs members and stakeholders and the achievement of MLAs mission and priorities.
Deliver lasting yet timely impacts in the Australian red meat and livestock industry by developing and implementing end-to-end execution of strategic communication campaigns for major MLA projects, new initiatives and other priority projects.
Supporting the Internal Communications Specialist with the development and execution of MLAs Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Strategy, ensuring alignment with the MLA communications strategy.
Maintain a close understanding of MLAs members and other stakeholders and assist the development, implementation and use of new communication tools and techniques for delivering relevant information.
Provide expert strategic and tactical communications advice within MLA, as required.
Desired Skills and Experience

Excellent communication skills, including highly developed writing skills.
The ability to identify the issue, the audience and the solution and then develop and execute a winning communication campaign that makes a lasting impact.
Excellent project, contractor and campaign management skills to ensure MLA and its stakeholders receive maximum return on investments.
An attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
Experience in coaching, mentoring and leading a small team.
Tertiary qualifications in communications or related discipline.
