Project Manager

Hernan Building and Repairs is a company which provides state wide building services to Insurance Companies for residential home repairs. We are a small but well established company and pride ourselves in excellent customer service skills and quality repair results.

The successful Project Manager will be responsible for a diverse range of responsibilities. Working as part of a team which delivers quality repairs and exceeds Customer expectations.

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting onsite assessments of insured properties to scope damages and determine policy coverage.
  • Create detailed and accurate assessment reports.
  • Create detailed repair estimating and quoting.
  • Managing repairs and contractors.
  • Liaising with Customers, Building Professionals and Insurance Assessors.
  • Provide technical expertise on claim repairs.


To be successful in the position the following attributes are desirable:

  • A Building Trade Certificate or knowledge in Building / Electrical and Plumbing.
  • Intermediate computer skills and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A high level of attention to detail with excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and manage trade or Customer conflict.
  • Exceptional Customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An eye for detail and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel within the state and work flexible hours.

The full-time position is based in our Hobart City office and will include Salary, Vehicle / Allowance, Fuel Card, Phone and Parking.
