The Australia China Business Council (ACBC) is Australia's premier business organisation devoted to promoting economic links with China. With close to 900 company members, ACBC promotes two-way trade and investment, economic cooperation and understanding. ACBC supports members by offering knowledge, networks and advocacy in support of their business objectives.

About this Role

The Australia China Business Council NSW Branch is seeking a part-time Marketing and Member Relations Manager, to deliver member initiatives and events.

As a Marketing and Member Relations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include delivering events that provide members with insights related to Australia-China business.  Initially, events will be delivered via digital platforms. Over time, you will manage a range of live events including roundtables, workshops and cocktail receptions.  

You will also have responsibility for designing and implementing initiatives that provide value to members and strengthen our membership base.

Skills and Experience

We would be keen to hear from you if you have:

  • A passion for China and building closer Australia-China  business links;
  • Knowledge of Chinese language and business culture;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A flare for inter-personal relationships; and 
  • Experience and/or tertiary qualications in fields such as international relations, business, marketing and communications, or event management. 

This role will initially be for two days per week with an expectation that it will increase to four days as our operations return to normal levels.

Flexible working

You will have a high level of flexibility over when and where you complete your working hours. However, you will need to be available to work in the CBD when required. You will also need to be available for up to four evening events per month.
