A great opportunity exists for an experienced Assistant Accountant to support the Financial Controller across a variety of accounting and payroll tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Payroll processing for 150+ staff
Timesheet analysis to calculate overtime pay
Maintenance of employee payroll records
Responding pay related queries
Payroll / Finance reporting
Month-end close and reporting
Bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
Intercompany reconciliation and reporting
Maintenance of fixed assets register
Preparation of PAYG, payroll tax and other statutory returns
Ad-hoc management reporting
Assisting in maintaining and improving financial systems, processes, and procedures
The successful candidate for this role will have:
A degree in Finance or Accounting
A minimum of two years local accounting and payroll experience
Strong understanding of modern awards
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Advanced Excel skills
Experience in Xero (preferred)
Ability to work independently
Started your CPA qualification
