NIOA is Australasia's leading Prime Contractor for weapons, munitions and related products servicing the Defence, Law Enforcement and commercial markets and has established munitions manufacturing operations in Maryborough Queensland and Benalla Victoria. We are experiencing significant growth in our Defence weapons and munitions programs and are seeking to further expand our Logistics team.
The Inventory Controller is responsible for a range of Inventory functions utilising internal and Defence/DPN tools in support of the business unit and associated contracts.
The position holder is expected to work both independently and in collaboration with the Weapons and Munitions Division, Engineering and other divisions of NIOA, including technical workshops and warehousing functions, to correctly perform all Key responsibilities to a high standard.
Support the Fleet Manager - NIOA to deliver company and CoA contractual objectives.
Assist with parts analysis through MILIS and AIMS and any other tasks assigned by the Fleet Manager.
Analyse MILIS and related data, report on currency & validity of data, act on information and/or provide professional advice, monitor Defence business and reporting tools.
Attention to detail, and capable of working to deadlines.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Build and maintain ongoing relationships with stakeholders including customers and supply partners.
Professionally represent NIOA to major customers, suppliers and industry when required.
Actively develop and maintain relationships with key customer contacts.
Any other duties as directed
Experience and Qualifications
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Good understanding of Word, Outlook, SharePoint and inventory management required.
Very good to high understanding of MS Excel.
Pronto (Desired not essential).
Certification in Defence Inventory Management.
5 years related experience and/or training;
MILIS / Inventory Qualifications.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, policy and procedure manuals.
MILIS SPO Inventory Controller.
Courteous, with high levels of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion.
Positive and collaborative team player.
High attention to detail.
Firearms Licence, or the ability to attain one.
BASELINE security clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements.
Interstate travel (as required).
