OHS & Compliance Manager

About the role Reporting directly to the Company Directors; You will need to be proactive and have an outlook that encourages prevention. Have the ability to identify, assess and control a range of risks across the company Recognise obligations and their requirements as risks Manage requirements within best practice Develop an assurance process or system that is able to test its effectiveness taking into account compliance, monitoring of risk based and interval audits and the consultation required with our partners and /or subcontractors Whilst working with the broader management team ensuring a safe, legal and sustainable work environment is maintained.
Specific Responsibilities To implement best practice, maintain records and conduct internal audits for company policies, procedures and training manuals Measuring compliance to company policies, guide lines and procedures Coordinating recruitment and pre-employment assessment and training of new drivers and subcontractors National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Accreditation HACCP Chain of Responsibility (COR) NHVAS Risk Management system/s for Infrastructure (industrial risk) Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments, which include route cause analysis and preventative action plans On road assessment of drivers When required assist the RTW coordinator in early intervention strategies
Skills and Qualifications Previous experience working with Compliance and Safety Experience in change management including exemplary stakeholder management skills Ability to make decisions based on best practice Certificate IV in Training & Assessment Qualifications in compliance, risk management, safety or another related field High degree of computer literacy including the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs HC/MC Licence (desirable) The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical If you have the suitable skills and attributes for we are seeking for this exciting role or have worked in a similar role please apply Directly via Seek by uploading your resume and a cover letter highlighting your experience.
