What you’ll do
Build and maintain partnerships with retailers in a designated territory;
Assist retailers with various aspects of their business including sales, local area marketing, business planning, retail image and delivery of training and development programs to ensure the corporation’s goals are met;
Work closely with retailers to develop strategies that will be cost effective and practical to maximise the sales of Lotteries products;
Ensure open and constructive communication and skill development through retail forums for sales growth ideas and improved performance;
Assist in managing complex problems to result in a commercial solution both for the retailer and Tabcorp Lotteries;
Provide feedback to assist in the development of training and development programs;
Conduct field assessments of retailer applications;
Maintain and grow the network by proactively managing new business opportunities.
Ensure retailer compliance with applicable jurisdictional regulations and retailer contract obligations, including conducting regular audits of retailers and cash reconciliations.
Compliance activities may involve call outs and may require the incumbent to participate in a rotational on call roster.
What you’ll bring
Proven results in the retail industry together with extensive knowledge and experience, and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the retail environment;
Understanding and knowledge of the basic principles of marketing, retailing including selling and merchandising underpinned with sound knowledge of Lotteries products;
Experience working within a Franchise environment (desirable);
Proven analytical skills and ability to make sound judgements to implement proactive strategies;
Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor retailers;
Certificate IV in business/retail/marketing/management (desirable);
Demonstrated ability to compile business development plans, write business reports and be able to effectively communicate a variety of information in a written and oral manner.
An ability to be flexible with work outside of standard business hours and the ability to travel as required.
