As well as this, we also provide holistic financial advice. Our firm is made up of over 50 staff, operating across 4 locations, in the UK, Perth, Sydney & Melbourne. Our Australian head office is based in Perth. Proudly, we are the only chartered financial planning practice that has a presence in the UK and Australia. We employ a multitude of highly qualified and experienced individuals, ranging from QROPS experts to Pension Transfer Specialists and those that have attained diploma or chartered status.

Our firm runs in-house administration for over 200 self-managed super funds (SMSF), with numbers growing month on month.  You will be responsible for all SMSF queries, be expected to build strong relationships with the wider business teams and clients and oversee the end to end processes for the SMSF business.  As the SMSF Administrator, you will play a key part in the overall performance of bdhSterling.

The SMSF Administrator reports directly to the Client Manager and has a close working relationship with the in-house Accountant. The role will be an independent role and would suit a self-motivated, ambitious individual with a go-getter attitude.

Role accountabilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Establishing SMSF on BGL 360
  • Daily management of SMSFs
  • Reconciliation of all SMSF transactions 
  • Liaising with the ATO
  • Providing support to clients with processing, accounting and administration
  • Reviewing the SMSF internal systems and make recommendations for improvements
  • Taking part and running projects to improve productivity and quality of SMSF administration
  • Keeping up to date with SMSF legislation
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails from clients and business partners


Minimum Candidate Competencies:

  • Proficient user of BGL 360 real time software
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of SMSFs
  • Ability to manage own workflow and strong time management skills
  • Confident phone manner and excellent verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy


Desirable Candidate Competencies:

  • 3 years minimum utilisation of BGL 360
  • Accounting degree  
  • SMSF administration services background
