Your new position

As the Senior Trade Electrical you will provide direction, support and feedback for the electrical work teams in the delivery of services in relation to the operation, maintenance and refurbishment and augmentation of electrical and instrumentation assets. You will participate in the effective planning, scheduling and coordination of preventative, non-routine maintenance activities and refurbishment programs across your region, whilst ensuring safety, service objectives and budget targets are maintained.

This role is a full time fix term Until 24th June 2021.

About you

To set you up for success in this role you will have:

  • Associate Diploma in Engineering, or an appropriate trade qualification.
  • Advanced trade qualifications with extensive supervision experience
  • Possess a current "C" class Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the scope, function and nature of the electrical assets used in water treatment and bulk water storage.
  • Knowledge of processes used to assess the condition of assets and establish the most appropriate maintenance regime for the assets.
  • Sound supervisory experience in leading a team of contractors and/or skilled tradespersons, trade assistants, apprentices, contractors and consultants.
  • Extensive experience in the field of maintenance of water assets or similar industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical information in a clear manner
  • High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate and proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • High level of initiative with ability to work on and deliver multiple outcomes simultaneously within specified timeframes

This position has been graded in accordance with Seqwater's EBA as a MS1 with a salary of $95, 960 plus up to 12.75% superannuation.
