Office Administration and Sales Support ( 9 month Maternity Leave Contract)

The Person we are looking for:

The person we are seeking to join us should be proactive and professional and in addition to having previous experience in sales, be someone who actively enjoys being part of a sales team. And, as is the case in any small team environment, we really need someone who is willing to be flexible and agile in response to the needs of our team and to those of our all important customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Being the first point of contact and support for people reaching out to the AsiaPac Texthelp team via phone, email or web-based enquiries.
  • Responding to these enquiries where possible or, after careful listening, referring them on to the most appropriate team member for further assistance.
  • Managing data entry in response to these communications within our customised Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Ongoing database management ensuring data accuracy and currency.
  • Preparation of quotes and active follow up of quotes provided.
  • Processing of orders received.
  • Being responsible for maintenance of our excellent annual software subscription renewal rates by being proactive in following up with customers throughout the course of their subscription.
  • Support for participation by the team in conferences and events - both during preparation and during the lead follow up stage.
  • Day to day office administration/management (involving the usual stuff of monitoring and replenishment of kitchen stock, ordering office stationery supplies, liaison with cleaners and other tradespeople as required).
  • Being able to work onsite in the Texthelp office from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (with the occasional, but infrequent, requirement to join an early evening web-based call with the UK-based Texthelp head office).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in a customer facing sales-focused environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and confident telephone manner
  • High level of computer literacy and confidence with online communication tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Ability to work flexibly within a small team requiring agile responses to changing situations
  • Current driver's licence.


  • Experience with CRM database management
  • Competence and confidence in use of Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar apps
  • Competence and confidence in use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Educated to a minimum of a Year 12 level
