Nursery Pick, Pack & Dispatch Supervisor

Azalea Grove Nursery is a wholesale plant production nursery based at Redland Bay, supplying a specialised range of plants to the wholesale, retail and landscape industries as well as government bodies and councils in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.


Azalea Grove Nursery has an outstanding reputation within the Nursery Industry, having a long history of servicing wholesale, retail and landscaping professionals for many decades. Through our networks we produce and supply the highest quality plant stock in order to support our clients to meet or exceed their customers expectations.


We are currently undergoing a period of expansion and are looking for a Pick, Pack and Dispatch Supervisor who will be responsible for the direct supervision of our large packing team. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following key attributes:


  • A self motivated, driven individual who sets and demands a high standard in quality and speed of work,
  • Experience in the horticultural production  industry. You need to demonstrate at least 2 years relevant history within a wholesale plant production nursery which includes the selection and packing of stock for industry customers and some knowledge of dispatch for third party transport organisations,
  • Strong problem solving skills,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment where adherence to strict volume and quality KPIs are essential,
  • Physically fit and able to lift stock up to 20kg,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Own reliable transport, and
  • Forklift License (not essential but would be preferred).

This role would ideally suit someone with supervisory experience in the horticultural industry, or someone working in a similar role that is looking to take the leap into a large production nursery with a team of motivated staff who enjoy their work.
