Smith Broughton Auctioneers is a leading Western Australian Business specialising in the remarketing of used Mining, Construction, Transport, Agricultural and Industrial Equipment assets.
Established in 1977 our primary objective is to develop and maintain mutually beneficial long term business relationships based upon trust, integrity & performance.
We are seeking to recruit an energetic and motivated, Business Development Manager to join our team. Working from our Midland office, the primary purpose of this role is to focus on market share improvement and the introduction of new clients/vendors to our business.
The position offers a base salary supported by a commission structure, as well as offering the successful applicant a fully maintained vehicle and mobile phone.
The key duties of this position will include, but are not limited to:
Maximisation of customer-facing time. This is primarily a field sales role with 80% of your time dedicated to vendor/client advisory & support.
Improve our market share through the introduction of new customers to our company and portfolio.
Auction industry experience is highly desirable but not essential for this role. Candidates with a proven track record of sales in at least one of the industry categories we specialise in will be prioritised.
General computer skills are required for this role. You also need to be organised and prepared to do your own sales administration tasks in a timely fashion. This includes quotes, sales contracts, and database maintenance.
You are teachable and have a commitment to personal and professional growth. You are comfortable with taking direction, planning and reporting.
You like being part of a supportive team whilst being able to work autonomously with your client group.
