The Finance Manager will contribute to the overall success and long-term viability of this young but fast-growing NDIS Registered disability services provider operating across Queensland  all from the comfort of the (almost) beachside office in Mudjimba.

Role Overview 

The Finance Manager reports to the General Manager - Corporate Services, is a senior member of the leadership team and contributes to the overall success of CSBS by effectively engaging with not only the Executive Team but all managers who are responsible for a portfolio of supports and services. 


The Finance Manager will be responsible for the provision of:  

  • Financial records management 

  • Reporting & Analysis  

  • Forecasting, budget development and implementation 

  • Operational performance evaluation with a focus on maximising return on investment while minimising risk.  

  • Coaching and development of the leadership team, building financial capability across CSBS 

The provision of expert financial advice to senior managers is a key responsibility of this role, and includes providing advice on matters including cost and pricing structures, business and financial operating structures, funding models and cost saving strategies. The Finance Manager should work collaboratively with the Director and Executive to develop strategic financial planning and efficiency initiatives and strategies.    

Our ideal candidate will be energised when involved in the above activities but importantly must also understand that the CSBS focus will always be on Participants first and will welcome the idea that sometimes an alternative path must be sought to achieve goals.  

A CSBS Finance Manager will also clearly understand and embrace the concept that the Corporate Services function as a whole is primarily to support the operations teams, service delivery and all those who support Participants to go about living their daily lives.  

A standout candidate will possess 

  • Knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), legislation and rules.  

  • Experience or knowledge of working with teams who support people with a Disability, Psychosocial and/ or Mental Health diagnoses.

Essential Requirements 

  • 5 years experience in a similar role  

  • Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, or related field  

  • Substantial knowledge of and demonstrated experience in management reporting, financial modelling, financial management and accounting principles and practices. 

  • Eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.  

  • Experience with finance systems implementation 

  • You will be capable of working with non-finance stakeholders and presenting semi technical financial information to the executive and beyond, therefore you will be an exceptional communicator (written and verbal). 

  • Relevant legislative personal history probity checks, including Yellow Card and Blue Card Positive Notices, or the ability to gain and maintain these  

  • A current QLD Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.  

  • The ability and willingness to travel.
