Branch Manager ~ Sunshine

Cervus Equipment Australia, a leading John Deere dealer in Victoria with 6 branches across the State, is seeking a highly skilled, motivated and hands on Branch Manager to join our dealership.  

It is an exciting time to join our team, as we strive to achieve long-term growth within our branches.  In this role, you will continue to lead a well-established and recognized dealership, and you will be responsible for achieving  the location business plan objectives and fulfilling the expectations of all stakeholders (owners, customers, and employees).  You will provide exceptional leadership in evaluating, allocating, and managing human, physical and financial resources for the location ensuring the optimization of the profitable growth of the business, the personal growth of employees, and the satisfaction of customers. 

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Ensure the branch has increased sales, profitability and market share whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Drive customer and employee satisfaction including directing and monitoring all sales, branch operations and personnel development activities.
  • Have the ability to execute the business plan and achieve financial performance, including sales, budgets and cost control, according to established goals for our branches.
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with all existing and new customers and work to resolve any elevated customer issues.
  • Ensure that appropriate communication takes place within and across all departments at the branch location which may include leading regular department management staff meetings and all employee meetings
  • Communicate the dealership values, principles, vision and mission within your location
  • Communicate with other branch managers to implement best practices and consistent processes for all departments within the organization.
  • Support senior management in implementing changes in any department within the location.
  • Ensure the successful planning and execution of marketing activities and events.
  • Oversee maintenance, security and a professional appearance of the facility and property.
  • You may represent the company for the sale of machinery to key customers as needed.
  • Provide input to the hiring, development and coaching, evaluation, and effectiveness of the management team and other employees within your branch.

Your skills will include, but are not limited to:

  • 5+ years experience in a retail environment
  • 1+ additional years experience as a parts or service manager or in a sales role preferred
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Experience dealing with elevated customer issues
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Knowledge of financial metrics, marketing experience and a solid understanding of sales, parts and service operations
  • Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Business or equivalent experience required
