Para Planner

Job Summary: QPP is looking for an experienced Paraplanner. This position requires exceptional                   writing skills, a keen sense of commerciality and a commitment to process improvement. The role includes establishing and maintaining important customer and supplier relationships.

Necessary Skills:

  • At least 5 years experience in the financial advice/planning industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in financial advice/planning. Diploma in Financial Planning or degree qualified would be preferable.
  • Experience to assess a clients current circumstances and identify planning issues.  
  • Experience to prepare Statements of Advice documents.
  • Experience in the use of financial planning software (Xplan)  
  • Experience in the use of financial planning software (COIN) will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of complex investments and strategy.

Principle Responsibilities:

Duties may include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Act as a key contact for clients and paraplanners.
  • Implementation of advice including all areas.
  • Provide support to the Financial Advisers and paraplanners.
  • Assist with adherence to the licensee compliance requirements.
  • Preparation of relevant research.
  • General administration work as required.
  • Filtering of incoming calls and emails.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Develop the QPP Way and standard with the Operations Manager.
  • Train the current and future salaried and contract paraplanners on the QPP Way
  • Complete Advice Documents allocated to you in 3 business days using the QPP Way
  • Work closely with key customers. 
  • Manage technical customer enquiries by phone and email.
  • Maintain key licensee accreditations.
