As a Financial Accountant at the JRT Group you will be responsible for the following:
Review and ownership of the Balance Sheet for all entities.
Review of monthly BAS and assisting the group tax team with all other tax lodgements.
Ownership and coordination of the banking and treasury function. This includes bank processing, administration, monthly cash flow reporting.
A range of business projects that will see you engage with members of the business outside finance. It will be your responsibility to operate and ensure completion of these projects both independently and as part of a team.
Assist with, and act as a key point of contact for external and internal audit functions.
Complete the monthly fixed asset journals, reconciliation as well as processing additions and disposals.
Participate and drive process changes and improvements in the control environment, while streamlining processes.
Skills, Experience & Attributes Required
Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Business with Accounting major.
CPA/CA qualification or part qualified -desirable.
Great attention to detail.
Chartered Accounting background preferred.
Excellent Excel knowledge.
Excellent communication skills with key stakeholders, both financial & non-financial.
A can do proactive approach with the capability to adapt to changing priorities.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, with a passion to succeed.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
A desire to grow and learn and progress your career.
While this role includes a number of compliance areas it would also suit someone that is adaptable and able to think on their feet as tasks will often not be routine.
