National Sales Manager
As part of their ongoing significant growth and expansion, this market leading Australian manufacturing business is seeking an experienced and ambitious National Sales Manager.
Description of the Role
In this crucial role you will report into the Managing Director and bring a commercial mindset and a depth of sales experience that engages directly with a broad range of clients and industry stakeholders, whilst leading and developing a successful team of 8 regional sales managers across Australia.
You will be an inspirational leader who strongly engages with the team and leads them to continued success. You will be across all existing and developing sales account engagements and strategies whilst preparing to bring in new approaches to drive business growth.
Responsibilities of the Role
Full P&L accountability for the Sales Function
An opportunity to lead an experienced successful sales team selling high quality Australian designed and manufactured products
You will develop and implement rigorous and measurable commercial plans which create maximum value in market and customer segments
You will grow and sustain profitable market share in line with budget objectives
You will build on and maintain long term customer and supplier relationships
Ensure that strategy and KPIs are embedded throughout the whole Sales Team
Develop talent and build bench strength across core sales functions and critical roles
Advance and maintain positive relationships with all internal stakeholders
To be successful in the Role you will have the following
A strategic approach supported by significant experience (10 years +) in a senior sales role including leading successful teams with P&L responsibility
You will be strong commercially, drive accountability, have operational experience and be results driven whilst leading and growing your team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully influence, lead change and implement sales improvement initiatives.
Strong business acumen with the proven ability to manage and grow existing accounts and win new business across various channels and regions.
Extensive experience in managing and growing multiple customer relationships at all levels
A passion for maintaining timely and accurate account information in CRM Systems and in detailed reporting to management.
A strong understanding of the bid/tenders and pricing process
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to maximize growth opportunities
