Position Summary
Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is looking for a part-time Payroll and Administration Officer to become an integral component of the Administration Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for weekly payroll services including all month end related procedures. Other duties will include providing general administrative support to the Finance and Human Resources departments. 

Job Duties

  • Full autonomous management of weekly pay cycle for approximately 70 staff (including casuals)
  • Administering changes e.g. rate changes, hours, allowances, deductions etc.
  • Setting up new employees in the payroll system and lodging forms with the appropriate organisations, such as the ATO and superannuation funds
  • Producing payroll reports including payroll journals and reconciliation, leave liability reconciliations and other special reports as requested
  • Lodging forms and information with WorkCover Qld, TAFE and Registered Training Organisations (RTO) relating to employee remuneration
  • Performing month end reconciliations including on group tax, payroll tax, superannuation
  • Remitting superannuation to employees nominated funds on a monthly basis
  • Performing cash book entries for group tax, superannuation and payroll tax
  • Coaching managers and employees on the Enterprise Agreement and other pay-related matters
  • Providing general administrative support to Finance, Human Resources, Membership Services and other areas as required

The successful applicant will be a confident, motivated individual and meet the following criteria:

  • Several years experience in automated/electronic payroll computer systems (ideally TouchPoint)
  • Experience in EA/award/legislation interpretation relating to employees and remuneration etc.
  • Positive, proactive approach to duties, workload and planning with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to think outside the square and identify process improvements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular Excel
  • Experience with Micropower is desirable
  • Human Resources administration and JobKeeper experience is preferred
