We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused payroll professional to join our Finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract. Our open plan offices are located in McMahons Point and are a 5 minute walk from North Sydney train station.
Reporting to Head of Finance, you will oversee all payroll related activities and manage the day to day relationship with our third party payroll provider.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
Managing the day to day relationship with our third party payroll provider ADP
Bi monthly payroll preparation for over 250 employees
Working closely with the HR team to process new starters, terminations and changes to employment conditions
Payroll tax preparation monthly and annually
Commission reconciliations monthly and annually
Processing novated leasing arrangements
Providing accurate and timely calculations for redundancy and termination calculations
Processing all WorkCover related wages and payments
Dealing with payroll related queries
Data entry, adjustments
Preparation of bonuses and annual salary increases
Managing the EOFY payroll process
Providing training to the teams on using the payroll system
Improving and streamlining processes / systems
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous payroll experience in a similar role
The ability to demonstrate a track record of confidentiality and professionalism dealing with payroll records and sensitive data
Previous experience working with a third party provider highly desirable
