Specialist Medical Receptionist

Specialist Medical Practice, Beautiful East Gosford location, Two days per week (Wednesdays & Fridays) + additional hours when required.

Our Client, a local specialist medical practice located in East Gosford, is looking to engage a well presented; flexible, mature of mind, front office professional to support their small team and ensure the smooth running of the office.

Working closely with the office manager your daily duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting patients
  • Invoicing and receipting payments
  • Managing telephone enquiries and taking messages for several practitioners in accordance with their individual procedures
  • Confirming appointments
  • Typing letters and reports
  • Dictaphone typing
  • Liaising with hospitals, General Practicians and Specialists on behalf of Doctors
  • Preparation of patients files
  • Filing
  • Banking and general housekeeping

To be considered for this opportunity you will have previous front office management experience with intermediate MS Office (Excel essential) and typing skills. You will have proven ability operating within a fast-paced environment, managing conflicting priorities and a varied workload in conjunction with a busy reception desk. This is at times a challenging role and working environment and to be successful you will need to a highly efficient, organised person who can remain calm under pressure, use initiative and work with minimal direction.

Our ideal candidate will have some general accounts and basic payroll experience with view to taking on additonal hours (from home) for the pracrice once settled in to your new role.
