Accounts Assistant/Credit Controller

Nak Hair is seeking to hire an energetic and experienced person to work closely with our accounts receivable team to drive significant improvements in debt management, as well as work closely with our accounting team to manage the finances of the business. This is a unique role and would be ideal for someone currently studying accounting and looking to develop their skillset and experience.

You will bring to this role a level of expertise, including:

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Clear and professional phone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Management of a debtor's ledger and daily out calling to collect payments.
  • Entering of bank statements and reconciliations.
  • Communicating with clients regarding orders and queries.
  • Performing credit checks against potential clients.
  • Follow up and management of legal files with external legal agency.
  • Generating DSO results and end of month debt balances
  • Assistance with the calculation of sales rebates and sales commission payments
  • Assistance with the Accounts Payable function.
  • Assistance with end of month reconciliations
  • Assistance with tax reconciliations and lodgement of monthly BAS/VAT returns
  • Intermediate accounting skills, including journal entries, generation of reports, data analysis

The following attributes will be desired:

  • Completion, or working towards completion of accounting qualifications
  • High level of computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems
  • Experience in using an ERP system
  • Strong work ethic and show attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and able to work in a team.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing all the functions within the role.
  • Uses initiative as well as a can do attitude and the ability to show efficient time management.

The successful candidate will be provided with comprehensive training and ongoing development.
