Coastal Transport Services was formed in 1986 by owner Ray Graetz and specialises in transport and warehousing across the Central Coast, Sydney and Hunter regions. At present we have a position available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant based in Warnervale on the Central Coast.
Within this role you will be responsible for the month-to-month reporting and monitoring of the companys financial performance. You will prepare and present analysis critical in understanding the results of the business and business performance. You will act as a true business partner in this role working closely with all functions to gain a detailed understanding of the business.
Key Responsibilities Include;
Month end reporting, analysis and commentary on reports and projects
Managing working capital and cashflow
Budget and forecast preparation
Calculate, produce and maintain standard cost rates
Ensure timely submission of external compliance obligations, including BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT and Superannuation Guarantees
Actively engaging with the General Manager to highlight cost issues and profit opportunities
Tertiary level qualification in Accounting or Commerce
CPA or CA (or membership of another recognised professional accounting body)
5+ years of experience in the same or similar role is essential
A background in transport is highly regarded
Strong excel and modelling skills required
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Proven ability to manage complex budgets
Ability to research, compile, analyse and interpret data
