The Role:

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Field Coordinator/Service Advisor to join our Service Department at our Bowral Branch.

The Field Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Service Manager; providing mechanical support and assistance to the workshop; coordinating and monitoring the service and repairs in progress within the team and ensuring that all work meets quality standards.

Day to day the successful candidate will perform a range of tasks including, but not limited to:

  • Assigning of field jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledge
  • Invoicing of field repair orders
  • May perform quotes and appraisals of field repair orders
  • Directs and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians
  • Handles customer complaints and advises the Service Manager of any elevated complaints
  • Collates and appraises each field job card to ensure all details are documented accurately and completely


  • Trade/Cert III qualified Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic or Agricultural Technician
  • 2+ years experience as a Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic or Agricultural Technician and a solid understanding of Service Department Operations
  • Experience in a similar coordination role (preferred not essential)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken;
  • Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality assurance; and
  • Experience with John Deere and/or competitive products
  • Ability to use desktop applications such as a DMS (Dealer Management System), Microsoft Office and the internet
