To provide comprehensive support across all aspects of Contract Administration, Estimating, Tendering and Project Management. Manage the estimating process including plan take offs, compilation of tender documentation including preparing all contract documents for execution. You will be required to attend site at times to liaise with clients, builder and site managers.
Job Description: To provide comprehensive support across all aspects of Contract Administration, Estimating, Tendering and Project Management. Manage the estimating process including plan take offs, compilation of tender documentation including preparing all contract documents for execution.
You will be required to attend site at times to liaise with clients, builder and site managers.
The position entails the following duties:
Taking charge of the estimating process
Complete take-offs and measurements
Tendering and procurement
Managing drawing registers
Managing finishes schedules
WHS procedures and compliance
Obtaining and reviewing quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
Assessing supplier and subcontractor invoices
Compilation of tender documentation
Accurate and timely distribution of documents and specifications
Review of contract and preparation of sub-contractor agreements
Coordination of consultant meetings and taking minutes
Strong client focus with excellent communication and negotiation skills
Experience in the negotiation of contract terms, conditions and pricing with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the best outcomes for the projects.
Prepare and execute variations, purchase order contracts, minor work contracts, detailed scope of works for subcontractors and suppliers
Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Programming and scheduling including the use of project management scheduling software.
Produce cost reports, measure progress of construction work, develop report and cost forecasting
Consistent budget tracking to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
Qualifications & Experience
You will need to:
Have In-depth residential construction knowledge (Building Codes Australia), procedures and project management principles.
Be a clear, confident communicator with excellent people and communication skills
Have exceptional quality and detail
Be highly organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks to ensure that the required deadlines are met
Be a capable problem-solver & solution orientated
Proficient with computers & technology
Have experience with current estimating, programming and scheduling software.
Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Have Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word & Excel.
Have the ability to lead and motivate a team
Demonstrate quality, focus and drive.
