The outstanding opportunity to join our Network Mangament Team as Team Leader - Traffic Engineering sits within the Integrated Transport Planning and Design department. The primary focus of this department is to plan, manage and design the regions integrated transport network consistent with Councils corporate strategic vision, policies and strategies. The role
As Team Leader - Traffic Engineer (Network Operations) youll provide professional traffic engineering advice and ensure a high level of customer service in response to requests for management and upgrades of the traffic and transport network within the Moreton Bay Regional Council network. You will provide specialist traffic engineering technical knowledge and undertake traffic planning and design tasks including traffic assessments and analysis, parking surveys, signage installations and Local Area Traffic Management schemes related to urban and rural road networks.
A natural leader, you will lead a team of Traffic and Transport Investigations Officers and youll be the driver a culture of change and capacity building within our team. Your team will look to you to introduce new and innovative ideas towards the development of quality integrated transport solutions that considers contemporary best practice. About you
Youll possess that unique ability to balance your well practised leadership skills with your technical expertise in this area. Ideally, youve gained this experience having performed a similar role, leading a team and using your refined communication skills to solve complex escalations and building relationships with senior stakeholders.
It would be of added benefit to be RPEQ certified, however what we need is someone who is Degree qualified in civil engineering, traffic engineering or other relevant field with demonstrated experience in the understanding, knowledge and application of Australian Road Rules, Austroads and awareness of Australian Standards pertaining to traffic engineering.
