The Company

The Tasman holdings Group operates nationally and has a number of wholly owned subsidiaries that operate acrossthe mining, resources, defence, water and renewable energy sectors. Tasman has entered an exciting period of growth across our operations and are seeking an HSEQ Advisor to join the team.

The Role

This role will support both Tasman Power and Tasman Rope Access and will be based in across various operating locations throughout Australia, as required. This is a predominantly site-based role assisting our management team in safely executing projects and shutdown works. Reporting to the Groups HSEQ Manager, the HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for upholding our HSEQ culture which places the welfare of our workforce as the number one priority. This role serves as an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to start or progress their career with the health and safety industry and receive on-the-job training from industry-recognised leaders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with investigation of all HSEQ hazards/incidents and any other organisational non-conformances
  • Develop HSEQ documentation
  • Facilitate and conduct pre-start briefings, risk and hazard assessments, toolbox talks and incident investigations
  • Performing workplace inspection, in-field auditing and asset inspections
  • Promote, develop and foster the HSEQ ethos of Tasman
  • Provide HSEQ expertise and continual improvement feedback to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Support our supervisory and management teams in safely executing work orders

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • At least three years experience in the FIFO sector
  • Trade-certificate from a recognised institution
  • Qualification in OHS/WHS
  • A passion for the HSEQ sector and ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel
  • Excellent training, presentation and training skills
  • Exceptional communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office software programs
  • Exposure to managing safety requirements in a site setting
  • Have a proactive, can do approach
  • Investigation and report writing skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Sound knowledge of Tasman, client and regulatory HSEQ requirements
  • Strong leadership skills, coaching and mentoring of teams to drive success coupled with a collaborative approach to delivery of top down and bottom up initiatives into operational businesses
