Your responsibilities will include providing direction and day to day supervision of an assigned maintenance work crew under limited guidance from the supervisor. You will Perform horticultural parks and roadside maintenance works including mowing, turf management, trimming, pruning, weed control, mulching, planting and parks infrastructure maintenance, and general labouring on construction and maintenance projects as required, or directed by the supervisor, in an effective and timely manner.
To be successful in this role you must hold a current MR class driver’s licence, current Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control (ACDC) certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of commencement and Certificate III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, Landscape Construction or other relevant field. You will hold or be willing to obtain prior to commencement a Construction Induction Card competency that has been used or obtained within the past 2 years.

Please note that whilst the current work location for this position is specified above, staff may be required to transfer to any of council's work locations with notice. Council currently has depots located at Arana Hills, Bribie Island, Burpengary, Dayboro, Deception Bay, Caboolture, Margate, Petrie, Samford, Woodford and a range of other facilities located throughout the region.
